Data Platform Programme Recovery
Challenge: A data platform had suffered delays of over 2 years, significant overspend, and multiple attempts to re-set the programme had proven unsuccessful.
Action: We were engaged to advise on a simplified programme to deliver a data platform within an existing multi-supplier ecosystem at pace.
Result: Led set-up and delivery of the restructured programme, successfully launching an agreed minimal viable data platform within 3 months and below budget. Data Service Portfolio Set-Up
Challenge: Within a IT transformation programme, forming the data service portfolio to develop a client’s data service offering was a priority.
Action: We were engaged to establish the data service portfolio and mature the operating model within IT and wider organisational customer facing departments.
Result: Set-up of a fully resourced data service portfolio within a multi-supplier ecosystem and designed an operating model, supported by a investment roadmap.Analytics Operating Model
Challenge: After multiple attempted transformations to deliver analytics more effectively, a team was suffering change fatigue and unable to realise a step change.
Action: We were engaged to facilitate the design and deploy a more effective data and analytics operating model to realise the client’s strategy.
Result: Time to market and costs of data and analytics delivery halved. Valuable use-case and adoption increased to generate a 12 benefit-cost ratio.Digital Factory Start-Up
Challenge: With a buoyant aerospace market, an engine manufacturer faced the challenge of increasing capacity by opening a new factory for the future.
Action: Enabling the factory for the future, we led a programme embedding IoT equipment and digitising build instructions in a manufacturing execution system.
Result: 12,750 improvements to instructions, tooling and specifications, the rebalancing of work content to improve efficiency and winning the President’s quality award. SAP Data Warehouse Upgrade
Challenge: An enterprise resource planning data warehouse, which provided critical operational insight, was slow, unreliable and out of support.
Action: After a previous attempt to upgrade the platform had failed, we were engaged to restructure the programme and manage the implemention.
Result: Delivered a successful transition to a robust data warehouse and enabled the decommissioning of a legacy solution, saving £400k per annum.
